This is what our house is looking like. Spring is officially sprung but
the grass hasn't turned completely green yet but we've started planting trees,
azaleas and plants.

From this picture you can see
that we've planted a Japanese Maple behind the mailbox. We moved the holly
bushes from the front bed and put them along the side of the house, in front of
the office window and around the electric and gas meters.

Around the front bed we've put down edging stones. In place of the holly bushes
we've planted Encore azaleas. That plant with no leaves is a transplant
from my Grandmother's yard in Marion, it's just barely starting to get green and
is a Hydrangea. Also planted but not yet showing any life yet are Hostas
planted in the front of the bed.

The sycamore tree has yet to show any life.

The backyard is starting to show
life. The maple pictured in the foreground is starting to get small
leaves. It too is a transplant from Marion SC. Hanging in its
branches are two suet feeders that sparrows, juncos and finches have enjoyed all
winter.

Baby Maple leaves.

The flower bed that took about 85 stones weighing probably 15 to 20 pounds a
piece. At least 600 pounds of topsoil mixed with about 50 pounds of peat
moss. Birdbath was a spring gift from Elizabeth's parents. There is
a small dogwood planted at the far side of the bed. In the near side is a
Gardenia shrub. Also planted are Petunias, Dianthus, Dahliettas, and a whole flat of Portulaca (Moss Roses).
